Here is the official release from the Director of the show:
“The Pajama Game” (performed June 6, 7, 8, 12, 13 & 14).
A romantic comedy, based on “7 ½ Cents” by Richard Bissell, tracks a workplace romance at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory. The workers at the factory go on strike for a 7 ½-cent pay raise as sparks fly between Sid Sorokin (Management) and Babe Williams (Labor). The road to love and a contractual agreement is sometimes bumpy; however after a lot of singing and dancing it all works out in the end.
This show has many popular songs and dances including: “Hey There,” “Stem Heat” and “Hernando’s Hideaway”. There is also a comic dream ballet which should not be missed. The production staff is fun to work with too! Dia Carabajal, is directing; Sherry Samuel is musical Director with Yvonne Villano -Hassett as choreographer. Lindsay Day is our stage manager. Judy Saurini and Ellie Beck will participate in key production staff positions.
